What protection does one have from the evil that is in the
the world today? What is the hope of the believer today that
will protect him from evil? Is there a day coming when evil
will be defeated and no longer tolerated?
Paul encouraged the Ephesians that salvation can be accepted
as a source of protection now in everyday life from the evil
that is present in the world. Accepting His salvation protects
the most vital and vulnerable part of us; our thinking part--
"And accept salvation as a helmet, and the Word of God as
the sword which the Spirit gives you" (Eph 6:17). By recalling
the Word to mind and speaking His Word, one is able to combat
offensively against the wiles and schemes of Satan.
Paul exhorted the Thessalonians to vehemently oppose works
of darkness and to be constantly alert of the promise we have-
"But we belong to the day, and we should be sober. We must
wear faith and love as a breastplate, and our hope of our
salvation as a helmet" (1Th 5:8). Our promise and hope
is that our faith will be rewarded because we are those souls
that diligently seek Him and trust His Word.
Isaiah prophesied of the day that Jesus would no longer
tolerate the time of evil and the accusations of Satan--
"He put on righteousness on as His breastplate, and then
salvation as a helmet on His head; He put on the garments
of vengeance and wrapped Himself in zeal as in a cloak"
(Isa 59:17). John verified that prophesy of Isaiah that
Satan, that liar, murderer would be thrown out of heaven--
"Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, "Now God has
come with His salvation! Now God has shown His royal power
as King! Now His Messiah has shown His authority! For the
one who stood before our God and accused believers day and
night has been thrown out of heaven" (Rev 12:10). There is
a hope that will be fulfilled by His promise.
Let us remember who is our Savior. God's Name is Jehová
Yeshua . He is the God of Salvation when the impossible
situation troubles us. He is the God that sends us a message
of hope when we don't believe we can make it . Raise your
hands to the Lord Of Salvation. Praise Him and thank Him
as the Messiah of Salvation Today!
