Is it possible for someone to understand God without a
personal knowledge of Him or relationship with Him? Is
there a situation that makes a person lose courage and
hope? What is the message that person needs to hear that
will calm his circumstance?
Paul tells us that apart from God's salvation, it is not
possible for a person to understand God and His purpose-
"For God in His wisdom made it impossible for people
to know Him by means of their own wisdom. Instead, by
means of the so-called "foolish" message we preach,
God decided to save those who believe" (1Cor 1:21). It
is His purpose to reveal His plan and His person to those
that have trusted His word and message.
The Psalmist tells us that many times sailors are in very
dangerous areas that make them have fear for loss of life-
"Their ships were lifted high in the air and plunged down
into the depths. In such danger the sailors lost their
courage; they stumbled and staggered like drunks- all
their skill was useless. But in their trouble they called
to the Lord, and He saved them from their distress. He
calmed the raging storm, and the waves were made calm.
(Psa 107:26-29). God hears the distress call from those
that are wise enough to believe that God can help them.
Paul wrote to the Colossians to explain the hope that one
has as a believer and disciple of Christ. That hope has
not been dashed, but is in a safe place that God prepared-
"When the true message, the Good News, first came to you,
you heard about the hope it offers. So your faith and love
are based on what you hope for, which is kept safe for you
in heaven" (Col 1:5). Our future and place in heaven is safe
by His promise; that hope is the anchor for our soul.
Let us remember who is our Savior. God's Name is Jehová
Yeshua . He is the God of Salvation when the impossible
situation troubles us. He is the God that sends us a message
of hope when we don't believe we can make it . Raise your
hands to the Lord Of Salvation. Praise Him and thank Him
as the Messiah of Salvation Today!
