What is the most comforting thought that one could have
at the time of death? What would a person hope for in a
time like that? Would you think that it would be a good
event or a stressful event?
Moses tells us that Jacob had some comforting thoughts
on his death bed. After he had blessed his sons, Jacob
realized that it was good that he waited for God. What
he waited for was salvation from Christ, his comfort--
"I have waited for your salvation, O Lord!" (Gen 49:18).
A man who is a stranger to God and His salvation won't
find comfort or rest, but will find terror. Jacob could
say-"Your salvation will do when I am dying!" He trusted
the God of Salvation to grant him what he had waited for!
Paul explained to the Galatians that although we may not
see many hopes for the future of this world, salvation
gives us the hope to wait for what the Lord will do--
"For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for
the hope of righteousness" (Gal 5:5). The Lord will give
us the righteousness in what we have hoped. To be saved
from the penalty of sin, the power of sin, and the
presence of sin is the the hope of righteousness. Paul
found it was good to wait for the Lord's salvation!
Paul explained to the Believers in Thessalonica that one is
wise to hope in being right with God! The Lord promises over
and over that He will come again to reward each one for what
he has done. Those that will not hope in what is right will
find and know the full fury and fire of His wrath that comes-
"Wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead,
that is Jesus, who will delivers us from the wrath to come"
(1Th 1:10). The God of Salvation is rich in mercy to pardon
and forgive all who will make a change of heart and mind to
pursue His Kingdon and His Righteousness!
Let us remember who is our Savior. God's Name is Jehová
Yeshua . He is the God of Salvation when the impossible
situation troubles us. He is the God that sends us a message
of hope when we don't believe we can make it . Raise your
hands to the Lord Of Salvation. Praise Him and thank Him
as the Messiah of Salvation Today!
